Hint to all applicants
If you're hoping to impress your prospective employer, don't start your cover letter with:
Dear Perspective Employer:
Hint: if you get it wrong, the prospect of your future employment isn't good.

Maybe the applicant is looking for an employer with the appropriate perspective on the matter. Once this has been established, then the applicant might look at his/her prospects.
